Shadeed Smiley
A native of Newark, NJ, at the age 7 began his musical journey singing in youth choir at his family’s church. Being one of the youngest choir members, Shadeed’s spirit and love of gospel music brought a youthful energy to the group. It was in this arena where Shadeed received his greatest gift; the love of singing.
As a teen, Shadeed’s family relocated to the Mid West United States. Although isolated from his Gospel and R&B roots, Shadeed connected to the music of artists such as New Edition, Boyz II Men, and especially solo artist Tevin Campbell. The songs of Tevin Campbell open the doorway to what would become Shadeed’s truest desire; to sing.
After completing high school, Shadeed chose to serve his country by joining the United States Navy. Even though the path of the Navy brought new places and experiences, he never strayed too far from his love and desire to sing and create music.
Presently, Shadeed is a committed R&B artist. He loves to sing and play not only for the enjoyment of his friends, but talent shows and various events. In this, he displays his genuine feeling and ability to write and perform R&B music. His original songs reflect personal and heartfelt experiences.
Look for a release of Shadeed’s newest CD where you can hear the work of this brilliant new R&B artist. A sample of his original songs include “Why Not Me”; “My Love, My Friend” and “What happened”.
Zaiah Burke was born June 23, 1990 in Hampton, Va. lived his entire life in Newport News, VA. "Music has been part of my life since a youngin! My Old Earth is 38 years my senior so I use to play her records on the turntable when i was growing up. She had a lot of soulful shit so i guess thats where i get my taste from! it wasnt untill i was in the 2nd grade when i first started spitin. A kid named Jae Aye who turned out to be one of my best friends got me started.As years moved on he kinda left the music thing alone and focused on his basketball career until he was injured badly by a truck. "those days were over so i needed something else to do. couldnt be a normal kid" So zaiah got back into the Music thing. He met with his mentor Andre' Robinson who is now one of his managers and said " yo i wanna be a rapper". Dre said " yea ok, so does every other 17 year old." Basicly what Dre was telling him was that he would have to show him he was serious. A month later Zaiah sold over 170 mixtapes at Warwick High School!
As Zaiah became more serious, people started takin him serious. in Early '09 Zaiah linked up with a producer out of Waynesboro VA, named Andrew Hypes aka Student C. the two Connected like a puzzle! "Hypes is an incrediable dude. the most soulful white boy you will ever meet!" Hypes Produced 3 traxs on the "Who Is Zaiah Burke Vol.1". Be on the look out for the Andrew hypes X Zaiah Burke Mixtape coming later this summer!
Zaiah is considerd to many as a special indivisual! Reading Books, Writing Poems and Watching Movies are his 3 main hobbies! "writting songs is not something i do alot. i come up with most of my songs from something that is actually happening in front of me so i dont have time to write it. I jus remember everything". that explains why alot of people can relate to his music. everything he talks about is something that has or can really happen! a kid who is far from a gangster and nowhere near a genious, but a real dude. what more could you ask for?

RoCwynn describes himself as multi-talented, creative and smart, he feels his lyrics and creative ability will help him achieve his life long goals. RoC Wynn has performed in the "Big Shot" Showcase in August of 2009 and is currently working on a new album, his main objective is "to have everyone listening to my music and get signed"

Born & Raised In Suffolk, VA (The Silent City). The only boy and middle child of 3. Kartel grew up like most kids besides that fact of not having a father around until the age of 19. He never live a stable lifestyle, moving around most of his life but never moving out of Suffolk. As he like to say "I'm From Every Hood, Cause I Lived In Every Hood". Kartel is the only member in his family to be involved in music, it further more gives him that "Alienated" feel. He began his journey in music at the age of 14 making beats for his former friends that rapped at lunch tables and classroom halls. Until on of the guys he was really close to him Dissed him on a mixtape on the low. That alone brought Kartel, (who was know as Jay West
then) from behind the boards and into the booth. Releasing a very personal and very detailed response, Kartel got great responses from the audience who listened. Kartel and the guys beefed on & on for years until one day he realize the attention he had got from his audience. The beef seem to be going no where so Kartel went to work on his 1st Single "Where I'm From" off the album "Young, Black & Gifted" a album based on his life at that particular time.
KiD KaRTeL continued to make music relating to his life and the life of others. Following after that album was the album "The Transition". During that time Kartel link up with Suffolk's finest Raf-O aka Kidd Grams and release his 1st mixtape "G-Ville Takeover" a collection of freestyles from
artist in the hood but headlining West & Raf (KiD KaRTeL & Kidd Grams) as a Duo. No later than 2 months after the mixtape they release G-Ville Takeover Vol. 2.
Kartel & Grams were becoming well known over the city and Kartel was getting great compliments on his Production skills. KiD KaRTeL release his 1st of many series of mixtape called "One Day Mixtape" (ODM). ODM Vol.1 Introduce the newest Rap group in Suffolk... The Varsity Boyz. The group consisted of KiD KaRTeL, Kidd Grams, Mack "Da Great" & Aston Williams. Not long after the mixtape was release R&B singer Aston Williams
was dismembered from the group because of creative differences. The group has done quite a few performances. Including club performance at 7 Cities (Closed), The Suffolk Armory even outer state shows in New York. The group was set to release a album entitled "Welcome 2 Our League". Unfortunately the album never got half way work through because difficulties.
Kid Kartel began to work on his solo project. Remembering that's how he came in the game anyway, he feel back to his roots. Kartel refrains from throwing his self in the bracket as a "Rapper" but instead a artists. His motto is "Whatever It Takes To Make A Hit" He is indeed a
"Experimental Hit Maker" and a force to be reckoned with. Release his latest album "More Than Words Can Say" when asked about the title he replies "The Album Is So Creative, Words Can't Explain It"... Which brings us to the present.

Kid Kartel is a student as well as a teacher of the music world, who brings new style, new concepts, and a new sound to the ears of many. Even though he's been in the music game for over 5 years, he's still considered to many as the new guy, and he is aiming for "Best New Artist Of 09"....
Stephen Lewis, better known as S-Type, a North Carolina native, growing up not only sang gospel music in church choir, but was immersed in an environment of musically talented family members. His brother had an R & B group and played the keyboard, and a cousin who took time mentoring Stephen in the art creating and producing RAP. Through these individuals, Stephen, learned to form rhythm and beat, developing his own personal musical style based on a mixture of Hip/Hop, Rock, and Rap. Artists who have inspired his unique musical abilities are NAS and JZ. An added inspiration for his current work is found in the joy and vibrancy of raising his children.
In 1999, Stephen begins his musical career by forming a group “Famil”. By 2004, he becomes a solo artist known as “S-Type”. Once solo, he focuses on developing CD’s, a music video and is currently producing.
S-Type has performed as a solo artist in Zach’s Coffee House, Murphysboro, NC and a Car Show in Franklin, VA where he had the pleasure of performing original works. Since 2007, S-Type has been producing for “The Dutchess” a well know artist in South Eastern Virginia.
In September 2009, look for the release of “Long Over Due”. This CD is remarkable! It displays original works by S-Type through songs “I’m Shinnin’” and “Pleasure and Pain”. One can truly feel the spirit and inspiration of his work. This is a CD not to be missed!
